5N6D – Leisure Trip & Island Hoping – North
Potential Itinerary for 6 days and 5 nights trip in Raja Ampat (Dampier Straits to Wayag)
Arrive at Sorong Airport. Our crew will be waiting outside the arrival hall, they will escort you to the Pearl of Papua. After a 15 minute ride you will be onboard the vessel, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departure, take this time to familiarize yourself with the facilities and make yourself comfortable. Lunch and dinner will be served while heading towards Raja Ampat National Park. Sorong to Dampier Straits is roughly approx seven hour journey.
Our first adventure will start before sunrise. We will go to Sawinggrai Village at Gam island for bird of paradise watching. We must be at the location on 6-7 in the morning, when the bird of paradise come out to dance. Please note, as this is wild-habitat for bird of paradise, they’re will be on the top of tree, sometimes easy to watch them but sometimes also difficult too.
We have many excellent spots for snorkeling around this area, and Dampier Straits is a great start of the day with most fish and coral species. Several islands at Dampier Straits has the largest concentration of fish in Northern Raja Ampat.

Welcome to Wayag Island, one of “must see” itinerary for Raja Ampat. The Pearl of Papua will moor in front of Mt. Pindito. You will have the opportunity to hike up to the top, so bring your cameras, shoes and a hat – the views are spectaular! Upon descending our speed boats will cruise around the bay exploring hidden areas, thus affording you an up close view of the spectacular limestone karst formations.
After completing our third snorkel, the Pearl of Papua will begin her nine hour journey to Wayag Island.

Spread over nearly 700 square kilometers of ocean, just above the midway point on Raja Ampat’s north-south axis, Fam and Pianemo’s vivid coral gardens revel in the nutrient rich water brought forth from the Dampier Straits. My Reef has excellent fish life and is the perfect way to start your first full day of the expedition.
We will go to the Pianemo island, bring your camera and your walking shoes, the route is easy because we are walking along the stairs to the top of Pianemo. We will enjoy one of very special breathtaking view in Raja Ampat, a cluster of small coral islands surrounded by a “lovely” blue-sea and several green vegetation. Once we get down from Pianemo, we will have a relax time, swimming and snorkeling.
En route to the Dampier Straits, we will pass the islands of Arborek. Arborek is a small island inhabited by about 130 local Papuans. Here you will have the opportunity to take a more intimate look at their lives as well as explore an authentic village. There are a few excellent sites in this area. Arborek Jetty is not to be missed, with its schooling of fish.

We’re heading to Mioskon Island to do another snorkeling around the island. The crystal clear of the sea water allows you to see the underwater life up to the depth of 5 to 10 m
Before we sail back to Sorong, we will visit the famous Pasir Timbul spot, as the name suggests, it is a small island consisting of mainly sand and only appears during the low tide. Main attraction here is indeed the beach, with the size of about 100-150 m2 the island has only white sand and a stunning beach.

After breakfast, prepare for disembarkation. Our staff will take you to the airport based on your flight schedule, from here you will be transferred to your next destination. Your cruise has ended and we certainly look forward to welcoming you onboard again.
